Representative Gerald McCormick and his wife, Kim, reside in Chattanooga. They have two children, Cooper and Scottie. Representative McCormick first ran for office in 1992, because he felt he could contribute something special to the legislative process. He served in Saudi Arabia while in the Army, and worked for the University of Tennessee Athletic Department while in college. An avid concert-attendee, McCormick has seen Elvis, ZZ Top, Bruce Springsteen, and the Rolling Stones in concert.
