State Rep. Fred Atchley, R-Sevierville, was officially sworn in this week to represent House District 12 in the 114th Tennessee General Assembly.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – State Rep. Fred Atchley, R-Sevierville, was officially sworn in this week to represent House District 12 in the 114th Tennessee General Assembly.
Atchley has decades of public service experience, including roles with the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Sevierville Fire Department. He proudly served as a Sevier County Commissioner for more than 25 years before being elected to the State House. At home, he is a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
“It is a true honor to represent the people of District 12 in the Tennessee House of Representatives,” Atchley said. “I’m grateful for the trust my community has placed in me, and I look forward to working hard to represent our values.”
Atchley was appointed Thursday by House Speaker Cameron Sexton, R-Crossville, to serve on the Judiciary Committee, Transportation Committee, Criminal Justice Subcommittee, Transportation Subcommittee for the next two years.
He joins the 75-member Republican supermajority, and is one of seven freshmen lawmakers in the House of Representatives.
The General Assembly will convene for a special session on school choice, disaster relief for communities impacted by Hurricane Helene and illegal immigration on Jan. 27.
