NASHVILLE, Tenn. – State Rep. Timothy Hill, R-Blountville, invites citizens to join him for a legislative town hall in Mountain City on Feb. 28.
Hill plans to discuss the recently approved Hurricane Helene relief funding, outline his goals for regular session, and answer questions from the community.
“It has been a busy month in Nashville with the special session, followed by the start of regular session right after,” Hill said. “I know many people have questions and concerns, especially regarding Hurricane Helene relief, so I look forward to having an opportunity to speak with everyone who is able to attend.”
During the special session in January, the General Assembly approved more than $450 million in direct disaster relief for communities impacted by Hurricane Helene. As chairman of the Disaster Relief Committee, Hill played a key role in shaping legislation and ensuring Tennessee would be better prepared for future disasters.
The town hall will offer citizens a chance to ask questions, get clarification on how relief funding will be allocated, and learn what to expect during the regular session.
Please join Rep. Hill at Locals Deli, located at 103 W Main Street in Mountain City on Feb. 28 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Timothy Hill represents District 3 which includes Johnson and part of Carter, Hawkins and Sullivan Counties.
