House Majority Whip Johnny Garrett, R-Goodlettsville, has named State Rep. Lee Reeves, R-Franklin, to fill one of six Deputy Whip positions within the Tennessee House Republican Caucus of the 114th Tennessee General Assembly.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – House Majority Whip Johnny Garrett, R-Goodlettsville, has named State Rep. Lee Reeves, R-Franklin, to fill one of six Deputy Whip positions within the Tennessee House Republican Caucus of the 114th Tennessee General Assembly.
“Fiscally conservative legislation remains a top priority for the Republican Caucus and Rep. Reeves will play a key role in strengthening our supermajority and advancing the priorities of Tennesseans,” Garrett said.

As Deputy Whip, Reeves will assist in counting votes as well as communicating with members about the Republican supermajority’s position on issues or legislative initiatives of importance. He will support Garrett, who is the fourth-ranking officer of the House Republican Caucus.
“It’s an honor to be entrusted with this role by Rep. Garrett,” Reeves said. “I’m eager to work with caucus leadership to continue our efforts to advance conservative values.”
Reeves joins newly named Deputy Whips Renea Jones, R-Unicoi; Aron Maberry, R-Clarksville; Michele Reneau, R-Signal Mountain; Rick Scarbrough, R-Oak Ridge; and Tom Stinnett, R-Friendsville.
Lee Reeves represents House District 65 which includes part of Williamson County. He serves on the Education Committee, Finance, Ways and Means Committee, K-12 Subcommittee and the Finance, Ways and Means Subcommittee.
