Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton, R-Crossville, has appointed State Rep. John Crawford, R-Bristol/Kingsport, as chairman of the House State and Local Government Committee for the 114th General Assembly.
“Representative John Crawford has been at the forefront for efficient and effective government,” said Speaker Cameron Sexton. “As chairman of the State and Local Government Committee, he will provide strong conservative leadership when addressing issues that impact communities across the state and ensure our government works better and faster for all Tennesseans.”

In addition to chairing the State and Local Government Committee, he will serve on the Finance, Ways, and Means Committee, Finance, Ways, and Means Subcommittee, Government Operations Committee, Departments and Agencies Subcommittee, Cities and Counties Subcommittee, Calendar and Rules Committee and Select Committee on Rules during this legislative session.
