Biography


Tom Stinnett has dedicated his life to serving our community and has been a respected leader protecting our conservative values and beliefs. After earning degrees from East Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee, Tom was blessed to return home and help educate the next generation of children as a STEM teacher, drivers instructor, and successful coach of the football, track and golf teams in the Maryville City School System. Tom has continued his service to the community serving as a Meals on Wheels driver, Emergency Medical Service Board, Blount County Community Action Agency, Friendsville Volunteer Fire Department, the Blount County Football Association and is a past Deacon at the Central Baptist Church in Alcoa. For the last nine years, Tom has served as County Commissioner, where he championed efforts to improve infrastructure and create jobs, increase public safety, and enhance public education.   Born July 30, 1955 Married 42 years - wife Patricia; 2 children: Alyson (Zach) Flynn, Taylor (Rachel) Stinnett; 2 grandchildren: Lilly Ann and Elizabeth 37 CTE Teacher, Retired Baptist, Central Baptist Church Alcoa BS, East TN State University, 1979 Masters, University of TN, Safety, 1982 ED.
