(NASHVILLE) — State Representative Matthew Hill (R–Jonesborough) today announced he will be holding a series of Washington County Town Hall events over the next three weeks.
The purpose of these events is to help citizens connect with their local lawmakers so they can share concerns or ask questions. They also provide an opportunity for Rep. Hill to update his constituents on important legislative issues that impact Washington County.
Dates, times and locations for Hill’s town hall series include:
Monday, Oct. 21: Memorial Park Community Center
Tuesday, Oct. 22: Embreeville VFD
Thursday, Oct. 24: Jonesborough Pizza Parlor
Friday, Oct. 25: Telford Diner
Monday, Oct 28: South Central Ruritan
Tuesday, Oct 29: Tele Town Hall
Monday, Nov. 4: Leesburg Ruritan
Tuesday, Nov. 5: Lamar Ruritan
** 5:30pm-7:00pm for all town hall meetings
** 7:00pm for Tele Town Hall
“As we plan for the 2020 legislative session, these town hall events are a great opportunity for me to gather additional information from our residents so we can continue to effectively address their unique needs,” said Representative Hill. “I am eager to hear from our citizens, and I look forward to their suggestions and feedback.”
Matthew Hill is the Chairman of the House Finance, Ways, & Means Appropriations Subcommittee and the Chairman of the Select Committee on Rules. He is also a member of the Calendar & Rules, Finance, Ways, & Means, Health and Insurance Committees, and the Facilities, Licensure, & Regulations, Finance, Ways, & Means, and Public Health Subcommittees.
