MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – State Representative Bryan Terry, R-Murfreesboro, is encouraging citizens to stay informed throughout the 114th General Assembly by signing up for community and legislative email updates.
Throughout his tenure, Terry has kept constituents informed through online, in-person and video updates. In 2024, he began sending email updates to strengthen communication, and is now expanding these efforts with weekly newsletters.
“As a legislator trained in self-governance, I’ve made it a priority to keep my constituents regularly informed,” Terry said. “Unfortunately, it’s become harder for people to find trustworthy news outlets, and social media is often dominated by heated rhetoric that overshadow the facts. After receiving positive feedback on my email updates last year, I’m excited to expand them into a consistent, reliable source for legislative and community news.”
Lily Long, a grassroots advocacy and digital media professional, has worked with Rep. Terry since 2023 and has been assisting him with his outreach program.
“Having worked with several legislators and other groups in Tennessee, it has been both fun and educational working with Dr. Terry. I appreciate his insight and his efforts to help educate and work for his community,” said Long. “He’s done a great job and his emails are worth it to stay informed.”
Terry’s Community Checkup provides local political and pertinent information, while his Capitol Checkup includes legislative and state related information. The session newsletters will include videos, opinions, surveys, previews, and summaries of issues, bills, and other events.
