(NASHVILLE) — Recently, State Representative Michael Curcio (R-Dickson) was a guest of House Republican Caucus Chairman Ryan Williams (R-Cookeville) as part of a new social media segment titled Chairman’s Chat.
During their conversation, Curcio provided Chairman Williams with insight on topics ranging from why he chose to serve, his role as Vice-Chairman of the House Criminal Justice Committee, as well as his continued focus on the important issues of his residents. They include a bill Curcio is sponsoring, known as the SAFE Act. The measure improves the quality of care for Tennesseans battling addiction.
“We have seen some instances where once patients move into a lower level of recovery, there isn’t as much oversight, and there are some bad actors trying to profit off of the misfortunes of others,” said Representative Curcio. “The good news is that we haven’t heard a lot of those types of stories coming out of our state, but we want to make sure they do not.”
