Caucus Chairman Ryan Williams Appears on Tennessee Public Television’s “Capitol Hill Report”

Tennessee Capitol Report For March 26th

Tracks The Progress And Debate Over Governor Haslam’s Improve Act

(NASHVILLE) – TENNESSEE CAPITOL REPORT continues its third season as a 30-minute show on Tennessee’s Public Television stations this Sunday. Shot on location at the State Capitol in Nashville, the show offers in-depth interviews and behind-the-scenes video covering Tennessee’s Legislature.

This weekend, airing on Sunday morning, March 26th, the program tracks the progress and debate over Governor Haslam’s Improve Act to fund transportation projects and other issues. Featured on this episode are:

Representative Ryan Williams (R-Cookeville), House Republican Caucus Chair

Senator Jim Tracy (R-Shelbyville), Senate Speaker Pro Tempore & former Transportation Committee Chair

Also appearing on the show is State Representative Charles Sargent (R-Franklin). Sargent is the Chairman of the House Finance, Ways, & Means Committee and he will discuss Medicaid reform in Congress and its potential impact on TennCare and the state budget.

“The show covers a lot of ground,” said producer Tim Weeks. “But we know viewers are most interested in the Improve Act as the General Assembly considers raising the gas tax while cutting other taxes, such as the tax on food.”

Produced to offer Tennesseans insight into the issues and personalities guiding the General Assembly, TENNESSEE CAPITOL REPORT is hosted by television and radio personality Chip Hoback and produced by award-winning producer Tim Weeks of TWAPictures in Nashville.
