(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) — Tennessee House Speaker Glen Casada (R-Thompson’s Station) has named State Representative Debra Moody (R-Covington) Chairman of the newly created House Curriculum, Testing, & Innovation Subcommittee.
The 7-member subcommittee will be responsible for education-related issues focused on curriculum, testing, and innovative resources that support Tennessee’s students, teachers, and schools.
“Representative Moody has a remarkable record of legislative excellence during her time serving her community as a member of our Tennessee General Assembly,” said Speaker Casada. “Her knowledge and expertise in the area of education will benefit the entire House as well as our great state. I know Representative Moody will be an effective leader of this new subcommittee.”

Representative Moody will also serve as a member of the House Agriculture & Natural Resources, and House Education Committees. Moody lives in Covington and represents Tennessee House District 81, which includes Tipton County.
