(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) — Tennessee House Speaker Glen Casada (R-Thompson’s Station) has named State Representative Andy Holt (R-Dresden) Chairman of the House Finance Subcommittee.
The 9-person subcommittee is responsible for all measures related to taxes and the raising of revenue, the appropriation of state funds, as well as passage of the general appropriations bill before it is moved to the full House Finance Committee.
“Representative Holt is a passionate, and dedicated servant for his community and Tennessee,” said Speaker Casada. “I am grateful to him for his willingness to serve in this important leadership capacity, and I know his talents will make him an effective leader and will benefit our entire state.”

Representative Holt was officially sworn in to office on Jan. 8, 2019.
He will also serve as a member of the House Agriculture & Natural Resources and House Finance Committees, as well as the House Agriculture & Natural Resources Subcommittee. Holt lives in Dresden and represents Tennessee House District 76, which includes Weakley, and part of Obion and Carroll Counties.
