NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Speaker Pro Tempore Pat Marsh, R-Shelbyville, announced $188,850 in grant funding was awarded for museum improvements in Bedford and Lincoln County.

The funds are part of a $5 million appropriation approved by the General Assembly in the 2024-25 state budget for Tennessee State Museum Capital Maintenance and Improvement program.

“It is vital that we preserve our community’s history and I’m thankful for the wonderful organizations who help us do that,” Marsh said in a statement. “These grants will allow them to make necessary improvements to continue their efforts for many years to come. Thank you to the Tennessee State Museum for supporting their endeavors.”

Local grant recipients include:

  • Bedford County Arts Council, LLC: $88,850
