State Rep. Jerome Moon reappointed Republican Caucus Parliamentarian for 114th General Assembly

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – State Rep. Jerome Moon, R-Maryville, was reappointed to serve as the House Republican Caucus Parliamentarian for the upcoming 114th General Assembly.

As parliamentarian, Rep. Moon serves as an expert on parliamentary procedure and provides guidance to caucus leadership on those matters during meetings and legislative session.

“Rep. Moon holds several distinguished licenses from Mason’s and Robert’s Rules of Order and I’m confident he will provide exceptional knowledge to help us lead better,” House Republican Caucus Chairman Jeremy Faison, R-Cosby, said. “He has worked diligently over the last eight years to best serve his constituents and all Tennesseans. His vast knowledge is a benefit to every member of our caucus and makes us better as a whole.”

Moon has held several leadership roles during his time as a statesman including Veterans Caucus chairman and Cities and Counties Subcommittee chairman.

Together with his colleagues, he guided passage of several critical pieces of legislation, including bills that made state and local government run more efficiently and laws supporting members of the military and Tennessee’s veterans.

He was elected in 2016 to serve House District 8 which includes part of Blount County.

The 114th General Assembly will convene on January 14, 2025.
