NASHVILLE, Tenn. — State Representative Jay Reedy (R-Erin) said today that he has been informed by Secretary of State Tre Hargett that the Houston County Archives will receive an archives development grant. The $3,100 grant will be used for shelving and dehumidifiers for the preservation, arrangement, and description of historic records.
“The preservation of Houston County’s proud history is an important cause, and I am pleased to have supported efforts to secure these grant dollars,” said Representative Reedy. “I want to thank Secretary Hargett for investing in our community, and I know this funding will provide important resources that will greatly benefit our county archives.”
